Home to Sydney CBD’s original fully functioning microbrewery, our pub is always pouring something fresh from the tanks alongside the full James Squire craft beer range on tap. 

Discover James Squire’s iconic range of small batch and limited release brews, always rotating on our taps. Our Head Brewer has a penchant for pushing boundaries, constantly experimenting with different styles, hops, and malts, resulting in extraordinary beers found exclusively within these walls.

James Squire Core Range

We don’t believe greatness is a process, or something that you can purely use technology to achieve. So we set out to prove it. In Sydney’s inner-city suburb of Camperdown at The Malt Shovel Brewery, a small team of experts rely on old-fashioned tinkering and experimentation to craft some of the best beers in Australia.

Together they’ve crafted some instant classics, including Lashes Pale Ale, Shackles, and Zero. Not through some fancy computer algorithm. But by the hands and minds of some of Australia’s best brewers.

Jack Fox – Onsite Brewer

Born on the coast near Wollongong, Jack Fox has lived everywhere from Papua New Guinea to China before trading law books and Mandarin studies for a homebrew kit and never looking back.

He’s brewed across some of Australia’s most iconic breweries, from Malt Shovel to Tooheys, and now brings his passion for bold, flavour-packed beers to The Squire’s Landing. When he’s not brewing, you’ll find him tending his bees, wrangling chooks, or out on the golf course.
